My name is Kristie Keller & I’m Melanie’s intern for the summer 🙂 I’m 22 & attend Florida State University… I will be graduating in December from the Retail Merchandising & Product Development program! I’ve had the opportunity to intern with Melanie this summer & have already learned so much from her.
How would you describe your style? I would say that my style is very hip/trendy – but also reminiscent of classic/preppy styles…I love mixing unexpected colors & patterns & I’m very girly, I love pink/florals/lace/gingham/pastels.
Who is your favorite runway designer/RTW designer? I don’t think Chanel or Christian Dior can ever go wrong…I also adore BCBG Max Azria, Alice + Olivia, Marc Jacobs, Ted Baker, & Tory Burch…
What is your go to outfit? I like easy to throw on skinny jeans or high-waisted jean shorts/striped t shirts/flats + a statement necklace.
What are the 3 most worn items in your closet? Tory Burch Reva flats, high waisted Levi jean shorts from Urban Outfitters/Mink Pink denim shorts, neon t-shirts from Jcrew/faded denim Jcrew button up.
What current trend are you most excited about? NEON everything, floral printed blazers, pants, shorts, etc…also peplum tops and dresses
Favorite season & why? Spring/Summer…everything is just brighter & more fun.
Who is your fashion icon or celebrity you look to for style tips & inspiration? I love everything about Lauren Conrad…her hair/makeup/effortlessly chic style…I also get inspiration from Blake Lively, Mary Kate/Ashley Olsen & Olivia Palermo & I regularly read Atlantic-Pacific’s blog as well as Brooklyn Blonde!
How many pairs of shoes do you own? Probably over 100, much to my dad’s dismay.
Beauty must haves? Beauty Balm [bb cream] by TooFaced, Schiap Lipstick by Nars, the Naked palette by Urban Decay & lots of liquid eyeliner!
What decade inspires your wardrobe? I’ve recently fallen in love with the 50’s/60’s because of Mad Men…I’m really into cigarette style pants & curls.
If you could give one piece of style advice, what would it be? Always make sure you’re confident in what you’re wearing.
