For the 2013 inauguration, Michelle Obama wore a Thom Browne coat & dress from his pre-fall 2013 collection, J-Crew pumps ($238). She changed into a pair of Reed Krakoff boots & added a J-Crew belt & pair of beautiful plum colored gloves afterwards.
The coat/dress the First Lady wore was custom-made & based on a men’s silk tie, it featured a navy-blue silk jacquard coat in a checkered pattern over a pale blue/grey dress in another checkered pattern topped with a bolero-style cardigan in royal blue by Reed Krakoff.
The first daughters followed in their mother’s footsteps, with Sasha wearing a Kate Spade coat/dress and Malia wearing a J-Crew coat/dress & statement necklace.
For the inaugural balls, Michelle wore a ruby-colored chiffon and velvet dress made by Jason Wu, she paired it with a handmade diamond embellished ring by jewelry designer Kimberly McDonald, and Jimmy Choo shoes.
At the end of the inaugural festivities, the outfits and accompanying accessories will go to the National Archives.

I put together some of my other favorite First Lady fashions…she always manages to look glamorous, chic & pulled together no matter what the occasion. Some of her favorite styles include: florals, sleek lines, color blocking & a belted waist. She has mastered the art of dressing to create a perfect silhouette for her shape.
Jupiter Magazine partnered with The Maltz Theater for their 10th anniversary! We styled looks for 5 shows that mimicked the shows real costumes! This was such a fun and unique project.
The whole time during my pull the hunt was on for not just a gorgeous piece that would be perfect for an editorial but also keeping in mind the amazing costumes I was replicating.

The Golden Globes were full of glamour this year! The morning after the award show aired, I was on Fox 35 news discussing the best and worst fashions!

Overall, we saw a lot of black, lace, plunging necklines & all over embellishments. I love the streamlined looks of these celebrities & how they managed to think outside of the box – while still looking classically gorgeous. I can’t wait to see what the rest of award season brings!
